Yeah, she was done from scratch, but I had a reference photo to use for the face. Kitty (apart from being a model and musician) is a waitress at my favorite bar in Austin, TX. I was low on cash the first time we went in there, so I left her a sketch I did of her as a tip (it&#039;s still hanging on the bar). Sketches/illustrations for her have become a bit of a tradition.

The background is just that: a background. I honestly couldn&#039;t think of what to have her sitting on, so wacky nouveau backgrounds always work instead of negative space!

What looks like a snapped garter is actually the strap for the bass. Kitty actually owns that bass, and has a real affinity for it.]]></description>
